3. Danny Davis only records one catch

Danny Davis returns from a two-game suspension to play in the Badgers’ third game against BYU. Davis was initially suspended due to his role in the incident involving Quintez Cephus. However, it doesn’t appear as if any charges will be pressed against Davis so he should be good to go.

As a true freshman in 2017, Davis recorded 26 receptions for 418 yards and five touchdowns. That included a huge day against Miami in the Orange Bowl when he brought in three touchdowns.

Even with Davis likely having an increased role in the offense with Cephus out, he’s still unlikely to make a huge impact right away.

For one, Alex Hornibrook has proved he hasn’t taken as big of a step forward as many had hoped heading into his junior season. He’s still wildly inconsistent with his decision making and accuracy. Secondly, there were four games last season where Davis only recorded one reception. That easily could happen again, as Wisconsin will lean heavily on their run game to overpower BYU.
