Follow along with all of the Green Bay Packers’ cuts as they shape their 53-man roster ahead of Saturday’s 3 pm CT deadline.

In just over a week the Green Bay Packers will be kicking off the 2020 season against their division rival the Minnesota Vikings. But before we get there, we have to make it through cut day, as the Packers shape their final 53-man roster.

By 3 pm CT on Saturday, the Packers and the rest of the NFL will have their roster trimmed to 53 players. It’s unlikely to be their final form as Green Bay will certainly scour the rest of the league for players who were let go.

Wide receiver will be especially interesting to watch. It was a position analysts and fans alike expected Green Bay to address in the offseason. Unfortunately, their biggest addition, free agent acquisition Devin Funchess, has chosen not to play this season due to COVID. That leaves Green Bay scrambling and they’ve apparently been working out wide receivers including Devin Smith and Chester Rogers.

  • Frankie Griffin, LB
  • Marc-Antoine Dequoy, DB
  • James Looney, TE
  • Darrell Stewart, WR
  • Travis Bruffy, OT
  • Travis Fulgham, WR

7:49 am CT: According to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, offensive tackle John Leglue is the first cut we know about today.

8:04 am CT: The Packers’ first surprise cut of the today comes with the release of wide receiver Jake Kumerow. Kumerow has been a fan-favorite during his two years in Green Bay, but his production was limited, as he caught only 20 receptions for 322 yards and three touchdowns in 19 career games.

8:44 am CT: Wide receiver Darrius Shepherd and tight end Evan Bayliss have also been released according to Jim Owcsarski and Matt Schneidman respectively. Also, inside linebacker Curtis Bolton, who tore his ACL last season, has been put on the reserve/PUP list according to Schneidman.

8:55 am CT: Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports reports outside linebacker Tim Williams is being released.

9:02 am CT: According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Green Bay has also released running back Dexter Williams, a 2019 sixth-round pick.

9:15 am CT: Owczarski reports outside linebacker Tipa Galea’i is being released. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel also reports wide receiver Reggie Begelton has been let go. SiriusXM NFL Radio’s also adds FB/TE John Lovett to that list.

9:45 am CT: Guard Zack Johnson, tackle Cody Conway, linebacker Delontae Scott, cornerbacks Stanford Samuels and DaShaun Amos and linebacker Krys Barnes have also been released according to various reports.

9:57 am CT: Owczarski continues breaking the news as he shares running back Damarea Crockett has been let go.

10:59 am CT: Wide receiver Malik Turner has also been cut according to Tom Silverstein.

11:32 am CT: Silverstein is also reporting defensive tackle Willington Previllion is being released and the team wants to sign him to their practice squad.

2:20 pm CT: Bill Huber at Sports Illustrated reports the Packers released offensive tackle Alex Light. Ryan Wood also reported Greg Wood, an outside linebacker, has been let go.
