Alec Ingold – Fullback
Round 6: New England Patriots
The fullback position may not be used as heavily as it once was, but if Alec Ingold ends up in New England with Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels, we know they would maximize his potential and create mismatches for him to exploit.

Ingold is what you’d expect from a traditional fullback but is more athletic and can be an asset in the passing game. While he wasn’t targeted a ton at Wisconsin, when he did get the chance in the passing game, Ingold created some big plays. Over his career, he would average 13.2 yards per catch and haul in four touchdowns passes.
Primarily, Ingold will be used in pass protection where he can hold his own and will be able to pick up any blitzers. We may see him get plenty of touches in short yardage situations as well. Ingold posted 17 rushing touchdowns during his time at Wisconsin and many of them came on the goal line where he excelled with the ball in his hands.
When it comes to Ingold he is 100 percent effort all of the time and while his role may be small to begin with, he can become a regular in the lineup at the fullback position.
