2. Best player in the Eastern Conference

With James having departed the Eastern Conference and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Western Conference, the unofficial (but very important) title of King of the East is up for grabs. And Antetokounmpo is first in line to grab it.

Even if James was still in the conference, Antetokounmpo’s star is shining so bright that he would gave James a very good run for his money.

Antetokounmpo’s only real challenger for this title is Kawhi Leonard with the Toronto Raptors. Leonard was traded from the San Antonio Spurs and looks to regain his elite from from 2016-17. When healthy, Leonard is a very intimidating two-way player.

Some might say the likes of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are ready to push for this title, but neither has been healthy for more than one season in their entire career. That’s a big issue when the best ability is availability. We’ll see how this season shakes out, but Antetokounmpo has got to like his chances.
