Rotheram highlights 15 undrafted free agents
The Packers signed a host of undrafted players following the draft, with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporting Green Bay had signed or agreed to terms with 15 players.
The highest-profile among them was Pitt offensive lineman Matt Rotheram, a 6-foot-5 1/8, 325-pounder who started 27 games at right guard for the Panthers.
Rotheram told the Journal Sentinel that his choice came down to two NFL North rivals—the Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.
“It was the depth situation,” Rotheram said. “I feel I can fit in on the depth chart well. I’m very confident I’ll make the roster.”
He projects to battle with J.C. Tretter and Lane Taylor for a backup spot on the interior of the line, with former practice squad player Josh Walker also in the mix.
