David Bakhtiari is still recovering from a torn ACL injury and it’s far too early to get a realistic understanding of when he’ll return. Billy Turner would start in his place, but Green Bay released Rick Wagner and would then need to fill the right tackle position. The Packers also need to figure out a long-term solution at right tackle as Turner is probably best inside at right guard.
That leads us to Teven Jenkins. There could be a number of offensive tackles available at no. 29 including Dillon Radunz, Alijah Vera-Tucker and Samuel Cosmi. However, Jenkins is the guy I highlight for Green Bay.
At 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, he’s a massive human being who has great strength that allows him to push around opposing defensive linemen. He’s also 23-years-old and comes in with plenty of experience that should allow him to play right away similar to Elgton Jenkins. He has work to do in pass protection and the coaches will have to work closely with him there. However, he could step in right away as he continues to work on his game.
