5. OLB Vince Biegel

After Chris Odom was let go early in the day, it seemed like there was a good chance Biegel was in the clear. However, he was another one of Gutekunst’s victims as he let go another one of his predecessor’s recent draft selections.

More from Green Bay Packers

Biegel spent only one year in Green Bay after being taken in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft.

Last year a foot injury sidelined him for all of training camp and nearly half the regular season. He never really developed as a pass rusher and his play during this preseason earned him recognition, but not in a good way.

The Packers are rolling with a four-man rotation at outside linebacker consisting of Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Reggie Gilbert, and Kyler Fackrell. Gutekunst also cut one of his own picks from this year’s draft in seventh rounder-Kendall Donnerson.

Green Bay appears to be ok with having a thin group coming off the edge.
