2. Josh Jackson Continues to Progress

Rookie corner Josh Jackson got off to a rocky start in training camp, but over the last few days his play has picked up and it carried over into Thursday’s victory against the Titans. Jackson got the start and fellow rookie corner Jaire Alexander was sidelined due to a groin injury.

Jackson appeared comfortable in press and off-man coverage. His best play resulted in a questionable defensive penalty that looked like a clean pass breakup. Jackson played the entire first half finishing with two tackles. He also successfully defended an end zone fade that fell incomplete with no flags thrown.

Here’s what the second-round pick had to say following his professional debut.

“For the most part, I think it wasn’t what I expected to be as far as speed of the game. It was a little bit slower than I anticipated, (but) I think that’s a good thing.”
