1. Valdes-Scantling Has the Edge Over Other Rookie Receivers

Marquez Valdes-Scantling ran laps around J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown in terms of the box score. The fifth-round pick from the University of South Florida finished with five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Moore and St. Brown also contributed, but nowhere near to the same degree. St. Brown had four receptions for 61 yards while Moore tallied three catches for 27 yards. Moore had a chance at a highlight play towards the end of the third quarterback put dropped a perfect pass thrown by Boyle.

All in all, each rookie receiver showed promising upsides and appear capable of making an impact at the start of the season. The Packers face the Pittsburgh Steelers next Thursday, August 16th at Lambeau Field.
