Green Bay Packers: 2018 Preseason breakout candidates
5. Montravius Adams
Montravius Adams, a third round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, basically had a redshirt season last year. After turning some heads to begin training camp, he suffered an injury that affected him for the rest of the year. Even though he appeared in seven games, his snaps were very limited.

Now fully healthy, Adams is once again showing why Green Bay used a high pick on him. Even with the strong starters on the defensive line in Mike Daniels, Muhammad Wilkerson and Kenny Clark, Adams is proving he deserves to be on the field.
He’s been dominating in one-on-one pass rush drills and is showing off a nasty swim move. Even though he’s a big guy at 6-foot-4 and 304 pounds, he’s pretty nimble for his size.
Adams will look to gain some of his first real experience this preseason and further cement himself in the rotation on the line. With the guys in front of him unlikely to get a lot of snaps during these games, Adams will have every opportunity in the world to capitalize. And look for him to do so.
