4. Jaire Alexander

If Tramon Williams and Jaire Alexander can interchangeably play in the slot or on the outside, the Packers secondary will be in good shape. Alexander has the technique and aggression to be an every down boundary corner, but his 5-foot-10 frame may force him to stay inside.

Despite where he lines up, expect Alexander to play instantly this upcoming season. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have traded back up to take him with the 18th overall pick.

With a similar build and nearly identical testing results to Sam Shields, Green Bay hopes Alexander can mirror the former pro-bowlers tenacity.

“He’s very competitive. He gets in people’s business. He talks a little bit — most corners do,” said Packers director college scouting Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Alexander is quick to break on the ball and has experience playing all types of coverage. The fact that he has played multiple positions and could possibly provide support as a punt returner is icing on the cake. Right away he will be a nice complementary piece in Green Bay’s secondary.
