Packers versus Giants: The official Week 5 prediction

Expect some fireworks on Sunday Night Football as both the Packers and Giants could find plenty of yardage in the passing game.
As you may have noticed, there appears to be a lot of vulnerability in each team’s defensive backfield. With a pair of veteran QBs and a handful of talented receivers, the scoreboard should be lighting up quite frequently.
Though Rodgers has struggled in his last seven prime time contests, this has a different feel to it. An extra week to prepare, at home, against a sub-par secondary sounds like a big night.

At the same time, it’s been a while since he’s put together back-to-back high-quality performances. Getting some help from Randall Cobb and Davante Adams would go a long way in this one.
Defensively, the bend but don’t break mentality might be enough against a Giants team that piles up yards, but struggles to finish. Of course, the turnover margin will also play a role.
Considering New York has just one takeaway and the Packers are normally stingy, you have to like the Packers if those types of mistakes make the difference.

I’m seeing a back-and-forth affair with both teams finding plenty of success throwing the ball. It won’t be decided until the final few minutes of the game, and it may come down to whichever QB has the ball last.
Call me pessimistic, but I have this sick feeling that Beckham, Shepard, and Manning deliver late to cap off a huge night.
