Packers with a lot to prove: Josiah Deguara

Josiah Deguara is floundering on the Packers and has a future that is as clear as mud. He was drafted in the third round back in 2020, but has gotten off to a very slow start to his career. He missed most of his rookie year with an injury and didn’t produce as expected in year 2.

Tight ends typically take a few years to learn the position, but it’s unclear how patient Green Bay can be with him. With Robert Tonyan recovering from a severe knee injury and Marcedes Lewis getting very close to the end of his playing career, they desperately need someone to step up at the position. Deguara has shown very few flashes and Green Bay needs to quickly make a decision about whether he’s worth a roster spot. If he has a disappointing summer, it could be a wrap on his Packers career.
