Packers’ breakout candidate: A.J. Dillon

AJ Dillon is built for the winter weather in Green Bay–he’s a big, bruising running back who punishes defenders with a low-pad level and power that never stops. Smaller guys don’t want to come up and hit him in the frigid cold weather and he’s quick enough to go around bigger guys in the hole as well.

As the 2021 season went on, Matt LaFleur fed Dillon more and more often–he had double-digit carries in four of their last six games after receiving that total only five times in the first 11 games. Dillon is a great compliment to Aaron Jones out of the backfield and with the lack of proven receivers Green Bay has, don’t be surprised to see a huge dose of both backs.
