Packers’ breakout candidate: Amari Rodgers

Green Bay desperately needs one of their wide receivers to step up in 2022 and Amari Rodgers could be a darkhorse candidate. The coaching staff recently raved about his talent and shared that it seems like it’s clicking for the 2021 third-round pick.

Rodgers was initially drafted to be a returner and a slot receiver, but then the Packers/Aaron Rodgers traded for Randall Cobb for the latter role, leaving Amari in disarray. It was a disastrous rookie campaign as he only caught four receptions for 45 yards. He’ll have a great opportunity in Year 2, and with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Davante Adams gone from the depth chart, he’ll have every opportunity to earn his way onto the field.
