The Green Bay Packers will head home with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 because of these three reasons.

The Green Bay Packers will be in the spotlight once again when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 3:25 pm CT on Fox. The two teams have drawn Fox’s best broadcast team in Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, confirming just how big this game is.

The Bucs are trying to take a step forward and prove they are a playoff team with Tom Brady at the helm. It’s been a bumpy road for them so far, as they’ve started 3-2 and are coming off a loss against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football.

The season couldn’t have started better for the Packers, even if it was scripted. Their offense is clicking on all cylinders and their defense has done enough to allow that team to remain undefeated a quarter of the way through their schedule. Without further ado, let’s check out three reasons why the Packers will stay perfect in this young season.

3. Packers offensive line

Green Bay has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL despite losing starting right guard Lane Taylor for the season. David Bakhtiari and Corey Linsley are the number one rated players at their positions according to PFF and have been downright dominant so far. Elgton Jenkins is experiencing some sophomore ups and downs, but he’s still shown flashes of dominance. On the right side, Lucas Patrick and Billy Turner are holding down the fort.

This strength will be incredibly important against the Bucs. Tampa has a good front seven even with the loss of Vita Vea. The Packers’ offensive line should be able to control the line of scrimmage, open some running lanes for their backs and provide a clean pocket for Aaron Rodgers. That will go a long way to determining Green Bay’s offensive success against an extremely talented defense.

2. Outside pass rush

The Packers’ pass rush has gotten off to a slow start this season, but they showed some life against the Atlanta Falcons before the bye. It will be incredibly important for Za’Darius Smith and company to continue that momentum and keep Tom Brady uncomfortable in the pocket all game long. If Brady has too much time, he’ll carve up the Packers’ cornerbacks thanks to his extremely talented wide receivers. The Buc’s offensive tackles, Donovan Smith and Tristan Wirfs, rank 38th and 32nd respectively according to PFF, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities to bring Brady down. Oh, and Kenny Clark’s return should free up some blockers from the inside.

1. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is playing some of the best football of his career and has looked extremely sharp to begin this season. He appears very comfortable in Matt LaFleur’s scheme and is getting the ball out in a quick and decisive manner, earning him PFF’s top quarterback grade. With Davante Adams and Equanimous St. Brown returning, he’ll be able to continue his hot start and take over the game when Green Bay needs him most.
