As the Green Bay Packers get set to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, here’s everything you need to know about the game.

The NFL season is finally here! After one of the weirdest offseasons in history, the Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. We’ve also been preparing for the game here at Dairyland Express and have everything your little heart desires in this ultimate preview. The game will kick off at noon central time on FOX with former Packers (and Vikings) wide receiver Greg Jennings putting the team on his back in the booth.

Minnesota has one of the best one-two punches along the defensive line in the entire league. Unfortunately for them, they’ll be without their top pass-rusher, as Danielle Hunter (who was put on injured reserve) is out for at least the first three games. That’s a huge break for Green Bay considering their starting right tackle Billy Turner is doubtful and it’s unclear who will start in his place. That’s not the only matchup to watch as Kenny Jilek outlined three others you should keep your eye on.

Will the Packers’ pass rush dominate? That’s another possibility considering their own dynamic duo in Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith. It also appears last year’s first-round pick Rashan Gary is poised to make a difference in Year 2. Site co-expert Paul Bretly examines that question as well as four other burning ones.

Paul also helps us understand our enemy better by interviewing a Vikings’ writer for some valuable insight. While eliciting a prediction, he also shares three bold predictions of his own, including another big day for Aaron Jones.

I also believe Jones is in for a big day, as he had a ton of success against the Vikings just a season ago. Green Bay will certainly look to feed him the ball early and often, as they hope for some better offensive success this season. He’s one of the three reasons why I think the could win.

Next. Packers' strengths and weaknesses heading into the season. dark

As for predictions though, I’m the only member of the Dairyland Express crew who doesn’t think Green Bay will leave Minneapolis with a victory. Check out our official predictions here.
