Surprise standouts from Packers OTAs: Tyler Goodson

Tyler Goodson came out of nowhere last offseason as an undrafted free agent and established himself as a fringe roster player for the Packers. He’s at the beginning stage of making yet another strong run.

Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon control the top two spots on the depth chart, but Green Bay will be looking for a long-term plan at running back in the near future. Could Goodson play a role? He’s explosive, has great vision and has tremendous hands, even lining up in the slot during OTAs.

He made the practice squad coming out of the preseason last year because Green Bay only carried two running backs. If he can prove himself worthy of special teams snaps, he could earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
