Surprise standouts from Packers OTAs: Tarvarious Moore

It’s safe to say the Packers’ starting safety spots are wide open. Darnell Savage held one of them down throughout OTAs and projects to be the surefire starter unless he has a complete meltdown during training camp and preseason. Rudy Ford held the other, but that could change moving forward.

Ford stepped in for Savage last year when he was temporarily benched. A career special teams player, he showed some positive signs, but is far too reckless to be a consistent player in the secondary.

The Packers let Adrian Amos walk in free agency and brought in a plethora of veterans, including Tarvarious Moore. Moore previously played for the San Francisco 49ers and it looks like he could sneak in and earn a starting spot. Moore picked off Love on Tuesday and has shown flashes throughout the OTAs.
