Best remaining free agent fits for Packers: Adrian Amos, Safety

Stick with me here. Adrian Amos had a horrible, no-good, awful 2022 campaign, which may be a sign of what’s coming. However, his role as a mentor is why he’s on this list.

Amos is a very intelligent player and knows the Packers’ defense inside and out. He could be someone who mentors some of the younger players on the roster, shows them the ropes, and helps them build a positive work ethic. Having veterans like him around will be necessary for a young squad to learn how to be successful professionals.

Like many other players on this list, the key is determining how to balance signing a veteran like him, but not risk taking valuable snaps away from younger players. That’s not necessarily a problem at safety, where Green Bay has neither a promising player nor someone ready to step up right away.
