Front-runners to become Bucks’ head coach: Charles Lee

Charles Lee is the second and final candidate besides Griffin who doesn’t have head coaching experience. However, his familiarity with Milwaukee, the ownership and the players gives them more insight into his readiness.

Lee will land a head coaching gig one way or the other this offseason. He’s on the shortlist of most likely Milwaukee candidates and is a Detroit finalist as well. It’s a long-time coming and will be well deserved when it finally happens.

Lee has been with Budenholzer for nine years, including his promotion to associate head coach last year. He has great relationships with the players and has earned their respect through the years. The biggest question is whether he’ll be different enough for the Bucks’ liking.
