Packers winners from Draft: Samori Toure

Green Bay did select three wide receivers in this class–second-rounder Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks in the fifth and Grant DuBose with their final pick in the seventh–adding a ton of competition at the position.

The good news for Toure (and, potentially, bad for the Packers) is Reed was a major reach. He was projected to be available in the third round by most analysts, but Green Bay selected him 50th overall. They have a good history in the second rounds regarding wide receivers, but, for now, this can be perceived as a reach.

Toure had a promising rookie campaign before an injury ended it prematurely. If he’s fully healthy, he’ll have the opportunity to compete for the wide receiver 3 spot, thanks to the Packers failing to draft a surefire pass-catcher at the position.
