First-round draft prospects Packers could trade up for: Tyree Wilson, edge, Texas Tech

If the Packers want to draft for the future, they could target an outside linebacker. Preston Smith and Rashan Gary are the unquestioned starters heading into next year, but Green Bay needs a long-term replacement for the former, and the latter is coming off a torn ACL. They also have zero depth.

Wilson is a homerun prospect, much like Gary was when they drafted him. He has elite size (6-foot-6 and 271 pounds) and athleticism for his position. He can also line up on the edge or slide inside to the defensive line. Considering Green Bay has needs at both positions, that versatility intrigues them.

The sky is the limit when it comes to his potential. He has all the tools to be incredibly successful and be an impactful player from Day 1.
