The Green Bay Packers’ depth chart at wide receiver is in shambles at this point in the offseason, and they could benefit tremendously from adding a first-round wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Christian Watson (41 receptions for 611 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 career games), Romeo Doubs (42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns in 13 career games) and Samori Toure (five receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown in 11 career games) are the top three players on the depth chart and the only ones with NFL experience. They’re all second-year players.

The need for a veteran is obvious–head coach Matt LaFleur talked about it at the NFL owner’s meeting last week. However, the path to selecting one in the first round is much more clear. Here are five targets they could use their 15th overall pick on.

If the Green Bay Packers decide to select a wide receiver in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, here are five potential targets.

Wide receivers Packers could target in first round of Draft: Zay Flowers

Flowers is a playmaker with the ball in his hand, a trait LaFleur and this offense prioritize. He’s undersized for his position, but his ability to make guys miss and his advanced understanding of route-running helps him overcome that. He also possesses good hands. He’s someone the Packers could design touches for in their offense and let him do the heavy lifting for first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love.
