Realistic restructure candidates for Packers: Aaron Jones

Running backs are falling out of favor in the NFL and rarely last as long as Jones has with the Packers. With that being said, Green Bay can hardly expect to be competitive next year and lose Jones in the offseason.

Jones has been amazing for them. He’s electric whenever he touches the rock and is a dual threat out of the backfield. He wasn’t at his best over the second half of the season, as he was battling some significant injuries, but you can’t question his toughness.

He has two years remaining on his deal and his salary cap will jump to $20 million this season. The Packers can cut more than half of that with a restructure and will likely do so.
