Wings
Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton, Wesley Matthews, Joran Nwora and MarJon Beauchamp make up this category. Cleaning the Glass has Khris Middleton categorized as a forward so we’ll cover him next.
This group might as be named the role players. Allen, Connaughton and Matthews will be a prominent part of the rotation. Allen’s first year in Milwaukee had him seeing more open shots than ever before, resulting in a career year. His 40.9 percent from the three-point line, 53.3 percent from twos, and 58.8 effective field goal percentage were all career highs. Connaughton continues to get better. Matthews drank from the fountain of youth.
Nwora returned following an offseason of restricted free agency. He’s a chucker through and through, but it’s unclear if he can execute his role on either end of the court. Beauchamp is raw and will need time to develop his game.
The Bucks rely heavily on the other positions and ask this group of players to play their roles. They understand that and play within the confines of the system. Don’t take the low rating too harshly.
