Welcome back to the third edition of the Green Bay Packers’ player power rankings, a weekly article where we use PFF grades to assign a point total to each player and track their yearly progress.

In case you’re new here, every player began the season with zero points and has either gained or lost points each week based on their PFF-graded performance. I’ll keep track of their total throughout the season and rank them at the end of the article based on how many points they have.

Before that, there are five categories each player is placed in based on their performance this week: Crashing (a loss of two points from the previous game), Trending Down (a points loss between 1.9 to 0.1), Maintaining (zero points lost or gained), Trending Up (a points gain between .1 and 1.9), and Skyrocketing (a gain of two points).

There is a new number one on the Green Bay Packers’ player power rankings following their Week 3 victory over the Buccaneers.

Crashing

Jaire Alexander (-2), Quay Walker (-2)

Alexander only played six snaps before he left the game with a groin injury, but it was a disastrous six snaps. He was officially targeted once and gave up a reception for 12 yards but was the closest man on another reception as well. He likely would’ve turned it around if he stayed on the field for the entire game. It was surprising to see Walker in this category as well, but PFF gave him a horrible run defense grade to go along with the three receptions he allowed.
