The Green Bay Packers continue to better understand what their initial roster will look like coming out of the preseason.
With one game under their belt, a cut-down day that requires them to trim their roster to 85 players on the horizon, and joint practices with the New Orleans Saints set for this week, the coaching staff and front office will have plenty of more opportunities to assess their players.

Darkhorse candidates to make Packers’ roster: Caleb Jones, OT
The Packers just activated Elgton Jenkins from the PUP, giving them another player who will likely start on the outside. That hurts someone like Caleb Jone’s chances who projects strictly as an offensive tackle. However, he’s outplayed rookie Rasheed Walker up to this point and had a strong preseason game against the 49ers. If he continues on this path, he could earn the final offensive linemen spot on the roster.
