4 Packers in danger of being cut at first deadline
The Green Bay Packers are moving through the training camp schedule after playing their first preseason game on Friday. Next up is a roster trim down.
The NFL requires teams to cut their roster from 90 players to 85 on Tuesday, August 16th. That puts several current roster members in danger of being cut in the next few days. With plenty of roster battles taking place across the depth chart, here are four players who could be without a job soon.
These four players on the Green Bay Packers are in extreme danger of being cut at the first deadline on Tuesday, August 16th.
Packers in danger of being cut: Alize Mack, TE
The Packers may not have an elite group of tight ends, but they have five guys who are clearly in a tier above the rest. Robert Tonyan (still on the PUP list), Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara, Tyler Davis and Dominique Dafney are the players Green Bay is looking at for the position. That means someone like Alize Mack, who is battling Sal Cannella for the final spot, is in danger of being cut.
