The Green Bay Packers continue to make additions with training camp on the horizon.

After adding Dallin Leavitt and Osirus Mitchell on Monday, the Packers have now signed versatile offensive lineman Ty Clary, per his agent Brett Tessler.

What to know about the versatile Packers offensive lineman Ty Clary.

Tessler measures in at 6’4” and weighs 315 pounds. He went undrafted out of Arkansas during this most recent draft, signing initially with Miami, where he was waived with a non-football injury designation.

Clary is a fairly experienced player with over 2,500 career snaps and playing everything from left guard to center to right guard and right tackle—although the bulk of his snaps came at center.

He would appear in 47 games over his career, including 39 starts. His 2021 season was limited to eight games because of a shoulder injury.

Over his final two seasons, which spanned 408 pass-blocking snaps, Clary allowed just 12 pressures and three sacks, according to PFF ($$). He also graded out well as a run-blocker by PFF’s metrics during that same span.

For more on Clary, here is a look at what Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network had to say:

"“Positives: Fundamentally sound blocker who stays square, bends his knees, and blocks with proper pad level. Consistently gets leverage on opponents, works his hands throughout the action, and adjusts to knock defenders from their angles of attack. Keeps his head on a swivel and hits as many defenders as possible every play.“Negatives: Overextends into blocks and struggles to finish off opponents. Average athlete with short arms.“Analysis: Clary displayed a ton of versatility at the college level but comes with limited upside. He’s a smart lineman with an outside chance to back up at center or guard on Sundays.”"

With both David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins on the PUP list to begin training camp, the Packers find themselves a bit thin along the offensive line, and Clary will be there to provide needed added depth.

At this time, we don’t know if Green Bay views Clary as an interior lineman, a tackle, or both—but given how valuable versatility is to Matt LaFleur and this coaching staff, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clary lined up both inside and out.

Right now, I would consider Sean Rhyan, Yosh Nijman, Zach Tom, Jon Runyan, Royce Newman, and Josh Myers as roster locks. Bakhtiari and Jenkins will hopefully be available sooner than later, with Cole Van Lanen, Jake Hanson, and Rasheed Walker the likely front-runners for the roster spot or two that is available.
