The recruiting trail for the 2023 class is hot right now for the Wisconsin Football program. Recently, they landed their 10th commitment for the incoming class and the fourth over the last week following a weekend where they had several official visits.

The most recent commitment was by Trech Kekahuna, a wide receiver from Honolulu, Hawaii. Kekahuna is from St. Louis high school, which is where linebacker Nick Herbig and incoming safety transfer Kamo’i Latu are from as well.

What you need to know about the newest Wisconsin Football commit, wide receiver Trech Kekahuna

Kekahuna measures in at 5’11” – 180 pounds. He is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports, and is the 167th ranked athlete in the 2023 class, along with being the 13th ranked player in the state of Hawaii. In addition to Wisconsin, Kekahuna had five other offers, including a few from Nevada, Hawaii, and Boise State.

As Jesse Temple of The Athletic would point out, Kekahuna finished his junior season with 62 receptions, totaling 761 yards — or 12.3 yards per catch — along with three touchdowns. Evan Flood of Badger247 ($$) would add that Kekahuna can play all over the field and will fill that “gadget” role in the Wisconsin offense. He also possesses 4.4-second speed, which could lead to opportunities as a return man.

Kekahuna is the second wide receiver commit for the Badgers in the 2023 class, joining Collin Dixon. Meanwhile, for the 2022 season, Wisconsin has Chimere Dike, Skyler Bell, Markus Allen, and Stephen Bracey, among others, returning after losing Danny Davis and Kendric Pryor to the NFL.

Other members of the Wisconsin 2023 class include Jacques Keyes (RB), Justin Tayler (ATH), Nate White (RB), James Durand (IOL), Roderick Pierce (IDL), Tyler Jansey (LB), Jordan Mayer (Edge), AJ Tisdell (CB).

Wisconsin currently has the 31st ranked recruiting class in the nation and the eighth best in the Big Ten.
