The Wisconsin Football team just picked up a pair of 2023 commitments in recent days–giving them nine recruits in total for next year’s class.

The first was wide receiver Collin Dixon, and the most recent was cornerback AJ Tisdell–both of whom were in Madison recently for official visits with the Wisconsin Football team.

Dixon, a three-star recruit, measures in at 6’2″ – 205 pounds and is listed as an athlete, although, as just mentioned, he will come to Wisconsin as a receiver. Dixon is the 87th ranked athlete in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports, and the 29th overall player in the state of Ohio.

As Evan Flood of Badger247 ($$) would note, Dixon had an impressive junior season, logging 69 receptions for 1,461 yards and 18 touchdowns. In addition to Wisconsin, Dixon had 16 total offers, including a few from Purdue, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Duke.

With Kendrick Pryor and Danny Davis moving on, the Badgers are experiencing some turnover at the receiver position–not to mention that they also lost pass-catcher Jake Ferguson. A few of the returning receivers for 2022 include Markus Allen, Stephan Bracey, Skyler Bell, and of course, Chimere Dike.

Tisdell, the College Station, Texas native, announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Thursday. According to 247Sports, Tisdell is unranked at this time but did have other offers from Baylor, California, and Texas Tech, among nine others. He stands 5’11” – 175 pounds.

He would record 46 tackles, one interception, and 10 pass breakups as a junior, and Flood would mention in an article that Tisdell has been compared to former Wisconsin cornerback Faion Hicks–who just recently left the Badgers for the NFL.

Like the receiver position, the 2022 Wisconsin Football team is losing two key members in the aforementioned Hicks, along with Caesar Williams. However, the Badgers would add three cornerbacks to their team via the transfer portal this offseason–Justin Clark, Jay Shaw, and Cedrick Dort, who will join Alexander Smith, Semar Melvin, and Max Lofy, along with several others.

Dixon and Tisdell will be joining Justin Taylor (ATH), Jordan Mayer (Edge), Roderick Pierce (IDL), Tyler Jansey (LB), James Durand (IOL), Nate White (RB), and Jaquez Keyes (RB) as 2023 hard commits.

At the moment, Wisconsin’s 2023 class ranks 35th in the nation and 10th in the Big Ten.
