Once again, this is a well-put-together Green Bay Packers roster that has a lot of star power. But as they say, it takes all 53 players — and then some — to win a Super Bowl, and like every other NFL team, there are still some gaps on this roster.

So, of course, for the Packers to be successful, they’ll need the likes of Aaron Rodgers, David Bakhtiari, Rashan Gary, Kenny Clark, Jaire Alexander, and the other big-name players to play well each week. And that group doing so will go a long way towards their success.

However, in order to level up, every team — not only the Packers — needs contributions from their role and backup players over the course of the season. There are always a few surprises when it comes to who these players end up being, but I have my list of three Packers, who in their potential rotational roles can leave a lasting impact on the 2022 season.

Green Bay Packers WR Amari Rodgers

It was a rough rookie season for Amari Rodgers on special teams, and he was used sparingly on offense, as he was on the field for only 103 total snaps — with 13 coming against Detroit in Week 18 — and he had just four receptions for 45 yards.

With the additions of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure, the rookies are garnering much of the attention this offseason. And while Watson or Doubs, specifically, could certainly end up playing bigger roles than Rodgers, we shouldn’t overlook the year of experience in practice and in Matt LaFleur’s system that Rodgers now has–to a degree, that does matter.

Year 2 Can Provide Biggest Improvements. light. Related Story

We know that Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard are going to be key members of the Green Bay Packers passing game, and you can probably add Sammy Watkins to that list as well. However, where the other receivers on this roster stand remains to be seen.

Whether it be out of the slot, as a motion man, or getting the ball on gadget plays where his YAC ability can take over, if Rodgers can make that Year 2 leap, it will provide some much-needed stability at the receiver position and provide Aaron Rodgers with another target in the passing game who he can lean on.

"“He’s taking those steps right now. I feel really good about Amari,” WR Coach Jason Vrable said via Packers Wire. “(Randall Cobb) bumped me the other day and was like, ‘Yo, you can feel it from him.’ I just smiled. It’s just the start right now.”"
