Packers’ rookies who could start in Week 1:  Quay Walker, ILB

Quay Walker will technically be listed as a starter in the Packers’ base 3-4 defense alongside star inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell. However, he’ll have the opportunity to become an actual starter and be on the field right away.

The Packers lack depth behind their top three cornerbacks and top two safeties and might see if Walker can fill some of that gap. They’ll test his ability to cover tight ends and running backs and give him a chance to stay on the field if he can hold his own. Walker has the speed to stick with them, but will need to improve his play recognition and coverage ability.
