Continuing on with our season in review, where we will be going position by position and player by player through this Green Bay Packers team, up next are the offensive tackles.

Due to several injuries, the Packers had six different players taking snaps at either right or left tackle this season, and just like the rest of the offensive line, this group held up well for the most part.

If you missed the first part of this series where we discussed the quarterbacks, you can find that article below.

Green Bay Packers LT: David Bakhtiari

Still recovering from his ACL injury that took place very late in the 2020 season, we saw just 27 snaps of David Bakhtiari in 2021, all of which came in Week 18. During that game against Detroit, he did look like his old self on the field, but unfortunately, his knee was still not ready to return to full action.

In an interview with Cheesehead TV, Bakhtiari would tell Aaron Nagler that he had to have his knee drained 15 times over the course of the season–likely one of the reasons that his practice schedule was so sporadic. Bakhtiari would also add that structurally speaking, his ACL and meniscus are in good shape; his knee just needs rest.

After just signing an extension last season, Bakhtiari is under contract through the 2024 season. With the Green Bay Packers needing to free up cap space, his contract will likely be restructured at some point this offseason.
