After 17 hard-fought regular-season games and an impressive 13-4 record, the Green Bay Packers enter this year’s playoffs with high expectations. Anything less than bringing the Lombardi Trophy back home will be an utter disappointment.

Following back-to-back frustrating losses in the NFC Championship Game, the Matt LaFleur-led Packers will set out in search of bringing World Championship number 14 to Titletown. Being the number one seed in the NFC, and earning a bye in the Wild Card round, the Packers now find themselves with a Divisional round date with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Green Bay Packers have to take care of business against Kyle Shanahan’s squad to keep their dreams of bringing the illustrious Super Bowl Trophy home.

With more than enough talent on the roster to bring home the Lombardi, let’s look at some keys to the Packers finding their groove in this year’s playoff run.

Green Bay Packers Key to Success No. 1: Protecting Aaron Rodgers

It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers is the key to offensive success for the green and gold, so keeping number 12 upright should be the highest priority. The good news is that the offensive line has been playing well this season, and only allowed Rodgers to be sacked 27 times on the year.

With the likely return of All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari and stud right tackle, Billy Turner, the Packers will have nearly all their pieces back to ensure Rodgers is protected.

However, their road to the Super Bowl is filled with numerous stud pass rushers who can single-handedly wreck games for an offense. Starting with the 49ers, who have a very solid pass rush across the board, Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and the rest of the defensive front will have to be contained for the Packers’ offense to find a groove.

The Packers’ recipe for winning football games revolves around Rodgers being able to make plays, so keeping the opposing pass rush at bay and allowing the MVP to create is of the utmost importance.
