Packers in final year of contract: Davante Adams

If the Packers can find a way to keep anyone on this list, Davante Adams is the guy they’d want to keep. The two negotiated a contract extension before the season, but were unable to come to an agreement.

That could’ve cost the Packers even more money as Adams is having yet another monster year. He’s the only consistent wide receiver opposing secondaries have to pay attention to, but that’s never stopped him before. In 11 games this year, he has 80 receptions for 1083 yards and five touchdowns.

Adams wants to be paid like the best wide receiver in football that he is and doesn’t appear willing to settle for anything less (nor should he). We’ll see how this plays out in the offseason, but his future could be directly tied to whether the Packers keep Aaron Rodgers or not.
