Packers in final year of contract: Kevin King

Packers’ fans were thinking (hoping?) they saw the last of Kevin King in the NFC Championship game when he was getting scorched by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Surprisingly, the Packers signed him to a one-year prove-it deal and returned to Green Bay.

This season has gone even worse for King who has struggled with injuries once again. Now, he’s been replaced in the starting lineup by rookie Eric Stokes and Rasul Douglas.

He’s making just under $2 million this season and Green Bay probably won’t be willing to pay him that again in 2022. Enjoy the last few games of King while you can because he likely won’t be back.
