The Milwaukee Brewers have some glaring holes they must address in free agency this winter if they want to finally get over the hump.

At one point in time, making the playoffs was considered a successful season and a huge achievement for this franchise. Following four straight postseason appearances, however, the bar has been raised in Milwaukee and it’s simply no longer enough to just make the playoffs. Now the franchise and the fans want a World Series victory.

In order to do so, the Brewers must upgrade a few key positions. Let’s take a look at their four biggest needs in free agency.

Positions Brewers must address in free agency: Relief pitcher

Pitching has been an area of strength for the Brewers for years, including the backend of their bullpen. The organization has found a way to pump out quality relievers and help them succeed in big roles.

Now it’s time to retool the bullpen. We’re anxiously waiting to see what will happen with the Josh Hader situation, but the Brewers should add a couple of relievers either way. Milwaukee will depend on the strength of their pitching once again so might as well double down on the bullpen.
