Packers’ who have outperformed contract: Marcedes Lewis

Marcedes Lewis is one of the unsung heroes on the Packers’ squad and does all the things in the margins to help push Green Bay over the top. He’s also a great leader in the locker room and one of the most respected voices across the league.

He doesn’t do too much pass-catching these days, as he’s only reeled in 12 receptions on the season. However, he’s not on this list because of what he brings as a receiver, he’s here because of what he does as a blocker. Both his pass-blocking and run-blocking are elite for a tight end and have propelled his PFF grade to rank 11th among 72 qualified tight ends. Not bad for a guy who only counts $2.3 million against the cap–36th in the NFL at his position.
