Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) celebrates a touchdown with Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Billy Turner (77) during the 2nd quarter of the Green Bay Packers Los Angeles Rams NFC divisional playoff game Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.Packers Rams 03125 /

The Green Bay Packers are starting to get more team love across the NFL landscape as they’ve now won eight of their ten games this season. However, there are still a number of individual performers who have been unsung heroes.

With Aaron Rodgers on the squad, the team isn’t void of star power. Rodgers commands a lot of the headlines (and for good reason) and he has some pretty high-profile weapons on offense as well. Meanwhile, the defense doesn’t have the individual talent, especially with Jaire Alexander and Za’Darius Smith, but their sum has been greater than the parts.

Let’s check out both sides of the ball and look at five guys who should be getting more recognition for their play this season.

These five players on the Green Bay Packers don’t get nearly the amount of love they deserve based on their play this season.

Packers’ unsung heroes: Billy Turner

It’s safe to say the Packers’ offensive line has been in flux all season long. They’ve had to deal with a number of injuries to guys like David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, and Josh Myers. Billy Turner has been one of the staples.

Since arriving in Green Bay, Turner quietly goes about his business. He’s not spectacular and doesn’t generate the same recognition other tackles as Jenkins and Bakhtiari do, but he’s still solid. His PFF grade of 68.5 ranks 43rd out of 79 tackles which doesn’t jump off the page either. However, he goes about his business every day and is extremely reliable.
