One of the biggest question marks surrounding Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is whether he’ll possibly be suspended for violating COVID-19 protocols as an unvaccinated player. The answer is reportedly no.

Another round of drama unfolded this week when Rodgers tested positive for covid-19 and it was subsequently reported he was unvaccinated. When asked during a press conference whether he was vaccinated, Rodgers responded, “Yeah, I’m immunized.” This then led to a bunch of Twitter detectives going back to his response as well as determining whether he followed protocols for an unvaccinated player throughout the season.

One of the most obvious instances of Rodgers not following the rules was during press conferences. Unvaccinated players are supposed to wear a mask when talking to the press and Rodgers never did. He was also in a video of a Halloween party last weekend with multiple other teammates–another clear violation of the rules.

According to a recent report, Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have to worry about getting suspended due to violating covid-19 protocols.

After a couple of days of silence, Rodgers went onto Pat McAfee’s show and shared his side of the story. He shared about how he sought a homeopathic treatment before the season and tried (and failed) to get it cleared by the NFL as an accepted treatment. He then shared he didn’t want to be crucified by the media for not being vaccinated but insisted he didn’t lie. Lastly, he shared the NFL, the Packers and his teammates knew about his vaccination status the entire time.

Although he said a lot more than that, including a number of cringe-worthy moments, the biggest concern with how everything played out was whether Rodgers would face suspension for not following COVID-19 protocols.

Although head coach Matt LaFleur insisted the team had followed every protocol inside their building, the NFL is reviewing the tapes from the Packers’ facilities. The good news is NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport is reporting Rodgers isn’t at risk of a suspension from the NFL. Fines are another matter, however.

The fact Rodgers isn’t facing a suspension should be a breath of fresh air for fans. Rodgers is already out this week against the Kansas City Chiefs and the earliest he can return to the Packers’ building is next Saturday, the day before the Seattle Seahawks game. That could put him at risk of missing two games before a possible suspension would even kick in. Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about that.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. Will Rodgers return with a chip on his shoulder? Or will it negatively impact his on-the-field play? There’s only one way to find out.
