The Green Bay Packers enter Sunday’s showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs as touchdown underdogs–a line that has greatly shifted since it was announced Aaron Rodgers would miss the game with covid. Still, there’s optimism Green Bay could pull the unthinkable.

The Packers are coming off another upset victory in their previous game when they took down the Arizona Cardinals on the road. They’ve now had a week and a half to get healthy and prepare for the Chiefs who are subsequently coming off a short week following their Monday Night game. Could it be a perfect storm?

If the Green Bay Packers want to upset the Kansas City Chiefs without Aaron Rodgers, they must accomplish these three tasks.

How Packers can upset Chiefs: Force turnovers

The Chiefs lead the NFL in turnovers this season with 19 and the Packers need to ensure that number continues to climb this week. The Packers’ defense has forced a turnover in seven straight games and they’ve done a great job forcing the other team into mistakes this season.

Patrick Mahomes and company have been careless with the ball this season. Green Bay needs to not only take advantage of that, but do so multiple times. There’s no saying how Jordan Love will play in his first NFL start so the easier they can make the game on him the better.
