Ranking Milwaukee Bucks’ roster: Fighting for final spots
With training camp set to tip-off on September 28th, we continue ranking the Milwaukee Bucks’ roster in part 2. After looking at the bottom four yesterday, we take a look at the guys fighting for the final roster spots today.
The rest of the series will debut as follows:
- September 25th: 15 to 11
- September 26th: 10-6
- September 27th: 5-1
The only complication is there was a roster move announced in between yesterday’s ranking and today. Originally, there were 19 players on the Bucks’ roster, but now there are 18, as they waived Mamadi Diakite.
Diakite was a beloved player, as he was always having fun and fit right in with the team. Unfortunately, he wasn’t nearly strong or skilled enough to contribute at the NBA level. He was a liability defensively and couldn’t work his way into the NBA rotation. His release is why the rankings jump from 16 to 14.
Ranking the Milwaukee Bucks’ roster from the 15th to 11th spots, including what will surely be an intense battle for their final spots.
14. Sandro Mamukelashvili (two-way contract)
Sandro Mamukelashvili is a fun player to watch. He has amazing handles as a big man and can take his man off the bounce as a result. His unique ball-handling skills allow him to create shots for both himself and his teammates.
Other aspects of his game aren’t so well polished. He signed a two-way deal with the Bucks and it will be interesting to watch his development in the G-League. Given that situation, his spot on the team is probably secure this season.
