The Green Bay Packers are down to their last hurdle before the front office makes final decisions on the initial 53-man roster. The preseason finalé against the Buffalo Bills is the last chance for a number of players on the bubble to make an impact.

Careers will be made (or broken) on Saturday. A huge performance will go a long way to securing dreams, but even one mistake could send someone down an entirely different career path. That’s the unfortunate reality for these five players who have the most to lose or gain heading into the final exhibition game.

Green Bay has clearly prioritized the big men upfront and continuously bring in talent via the draft and free agency. Cole Van Lanen, a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has shown the potential to play a number of different positions (versatility is a skill the Packers prioritize), but has more proven players ahead of him on the depth chart. Another strong performance could secure his spot and force Green Bay into making a surprise move on Tuesday.
