Following their first preseason game, the Green Bay Packers were back on the practice field for a lighter practice before ramping back up with joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday with the New York Jets.

If you missed anything, here is a rundown of what took place from the reporters who were in attendance.

– Before practice began, Matt LaFleur told the media that Jordan Love would not be practicing today as he continues to nurse that shoulder. LaFleur also added that the team would be holding tryouts on Tuesday for a fourth quarterback.

– Some good news on the injury front, however, as Kenny Clark, Aaron Jones, and Equanimeous St. Brown were back on the field while Za’Darius Smith and Will Redmond were activated from the NFI list.

– Considering how good Henry Black, Vernon Scott, and Innis Gaines have looked, Redmond is going to need a good showing now that he’s back on the practice field.

– Jerry Gray told us that he didn’t think Kevin King should lose his starting spot to injury and today he was back with the first team defense while Eric Stokes was with the second team to start, although he did see some first team reps as well.

– But Aaron Rodgers got Stokes a few reps later.

– After a poor showing by the offensive line on Saturday, we saw a shake up at guard with Ben Braden and Royce Newman as the initial starters. Newman has primarily been with the second team before today.

– Shortly after, Runyan and Patrick were circulated in at guard with the first team offense. As Adam Stenavich said, nobody has claimed those two guard openings yet.

– And of course, it’s not officially a Green Bay Packers practice without Aaron Rodgers doing Aaron Rodgers-type things:

Kabion Ento is moving up the depth chart after two big weeks at Family Night and against Houston. He was with the second team defense with Stokes, while Josh Jackson was not.

– However, against Kurt Benkert and the third team offense, Jackson did come away with an interception.

– In his first practice of the year, Za’Darius Smith was right back it with the first team.

– Some additional injury updates:

– By 4:00 Tuesday, NFL teams have to trim their rosters from 90 players to 85. Today we learned that the Green Bay Packers cut punter Ryan Winslow and OL Jon Dietzen.

– Jordan Love couldn’t be at practice but he sure wanted to be:

– With Dean Lowry out, UDFA Jack Heflin coming off a nice showing on Saturday saw some first team reps.

– Today’s practice last one hour and 29 minutes.
