Dream free agent 4: Desmond King

The Packers had a bad experience with their slot cornerbacks in 2020 as guys like Chandon Sullivan were picked on consistently. Green Bay should definitely attempt to upgrade their slot corner position and Desmond King might be worth a roll of the dice.

King certainly falls in the category of a high-risk, high-reward signing. He started out his career hot with the Chargers, quickly establishing himself as an elite slot guy in his first two years. Unfortunately, his play has slipped over the last few years and it’s unclear if he’ll be able to regain his form from early in his career. When the Chargers traded him to the Titans for basically nothing, it’s a sign of how the two teams view him. At 26-years-old, he should still have all the tools to right the ship and return to his great play.
