The NFC Championship is a rematch from Week 6 when the Green Bay Packers traveled to Tampa Bay and were blown out 38-10. While initially, I tried to scrub that game from my memory, I decided to go back and rewatch the game on NFL Gamepass to see what really went wrong.

Now, the simple answer could be everything because that’s how it felt when we were watching it live. But after review, there were five areas in particular that went haywire for the Green Bay Packers.

Of course, what happened back in October is not indicative of what will take place this Sunday. However, it is a great learning opportunity for this Packers team, and because of it, they should be much better prepared this time around.

The Green Bay Packers offensive line was bullied

This was probably the most obvious one. As good as the Green Bay Packers’ offensive line has been all season, this was easily their worst performance. When it was all said and done, Rodgers was sacked six times, pressured 21 times, and as a result, Rodgers was uncharacteristically uncomfortable in the pocket. This looked like the Packers’ offense from a few years ago at the end of the Mike McCarthy era.

They were not only losing their one-on-one matchups, but they had no answers for any of the blitzes that Tampa dialed up either. Now having seen what the Bucs will throw at them, I have to say I’ll be shocked if the Green Bay offensive line has a similar performance this week. They’re just too good to let that happen again.
