Packers’ greatest strength no. 2: Coverage

Green Bay earned PFF’s fifth-highest coverage grade this season thanks to a team effort from the Packers’ secondary. Of course, Jaire Alexander is the lead dog and has emerged as one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL. His 90.5 PFF grade is the highest amongst all corners this year–a truly amazing feat for the third-year, 23-year-old.

However, the Packers’ strength runs deeper than Alexander. On the opposite end is Kevin King–a player who has struggled with injuries and inconsistencies throughout his career. However, when he’s at his best King can more than hold his own and use his size advantage to make life difficult for opposing wide receivers.

Behind them is where the biggest strides have been made this season. Both Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage have played their career-best ball over the second half of the season and are entering the postseason on fire. Those two have contributed in major ways and the Packers should be able to lock down the air-game against most teams in the playoffs.
