Packers’ good thing no. 2. The emergence of young defensive players

It’s safe to say the Packers’ defense is stacked with good young talent. It’s beginning to look like that young talent is ready to contribute at the highest level.

Jaire Alexander has taken yet another step in his third season and has emerged as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He’s been amazing all season long and is capable of taking any wide receiver in the game completely out of the equation. Behind him in the secondary, Darnell Savage is really starting to figure the game out. He’s been playing great over the last month and has become a real difference-maker for this defense. Upfront, Rashan Gary has taken a positive step forward after a slow rookie campaign. Gary looks like he could be a real player in the very near future. This could be an elite core next season.
